My internship experience at Google | By Gaurav Baheti When I say, time flies, I actually imply it. 12 weeks at Google, New York have been amazing. Every day has a couple of new stories. And now I actually have tons of of stories to tell. But I actually cannot do this in one post. But I can share my total experience. Life at Google is one factor, and life at Google, New York is another. You get one of the best of life packed in a single summer season. Itâs Google inside and New York City exterior. Iâm from New Delhi, India and Google took care of every thing from Visa to relocation. But interns had to find personal locations to live and I received to live in 3 completely different place in 12 weeks. Okay, not something I planned, but I experienced extra of town this approach to be honest. I was one of the UX design interns on Google Classroom and Forms; and this staff made my complete expertise tremendous awesome. But usually only zero.02% candidates get chosen. It positive felt exclusive. Inspired by Andreâs amazing article on A D ay in the Life of a Google UX Design Intern, I needed to share the way itâs wish to be an intern at Google, NY. The purpose of this publish is to give you some insights about life in New York for the summer if youâre contemplating doing a tech internship and questioning if could be the best alternative. Iâm going to try to illustrate my experience with footage. All of them have a narrative behind, you'll be able to attempt to interpret. Or possibly I can share it with you personally sometime. Within Google and outside Google. Had my first lunch here. eighth flooring cafe. Called Hemisphere. Bunch of folks who began on the identical day. This is how we become part of Google. Starting with free meals obviously. eighth ground also had another cafe. Truck Pit cafe. Yes, the truck serves food. They invite chefs once in a while. This wall belonged to the 4th floor cafe, 5BB. I generally had lunch at La Place though. It was on the 11th. The whole constructing belongs to Google, and i s designed like New York itself. From the A-B-C stairs like subway lines, to the meeting rooms just like the Apartment or Fulton Market. And my workstation was on the 5th ground. It also had a cafe. Called the Water Tower Cafe. Usually the most effective for staff lunches. Music Room Sessions. They have everything in there. I learnt to play electric drums. Free museum entries. Few of the most effective artwork museums on the planet. Definitely price it. Team boat celebration. The boat in the picture was just the one to deliver us on the larger boat. Itâs sophisticated. The delight parade. Intern Yatch Party. Oh, that evening. Best part of Google internship. With Eric Schmidt Executive Chairman, Alphabet Inc. And every now and then you get the opportunity to speak to and take an image with folks youâre impressed by. They will throw all of the perks at you. ALL OF THEM. Sometimes, it can get really difficult to decide whether or not to go eat on the 11th flooring cafe with the bal cony or just pack up the meals and take it up to the roof with a view like this. #FirstWorldProblems In the night, thereâs dinner in just one cafe, so no such exhausting choices to make. View from there's something like this. Fancy, proper? If I needed to decide one image that depicts the complete expertise, itâs going to be this one. This was my first time in US. Had a truly a remarkable experience. And I canât be more grateful to Google for giving me this chance. Working with probably the most talented folks, on the impactful issues inside New York City: itâs a good life; belief me.
